The role of UMT Radio 98.2 is to build relationships in a changing world by promoting cultural, social and political awareness in youth, using enter-educate strategy through UMT Radio. The primary aim of UMT FM Radio 98.2 is to disseminate useful information to the target audience. UMT Radio plays active role in enhancing UMT brand image and engages more listeners to expand its penetration. It also engages the university students to become involved in the campus radio and share their experiences.

The first web channel of Pakistan, UMT TV, was launched in 2016 in order to promote an alternative Media and Publishing culture that could give voice to the academia of Pakistan and respond to the challenges of the digital world. UMT TV serves as a laboratory for our students to get training in various aspects of Media and Publishing. Many talk shows, debates and other programs projecting a positive image of Pakistan are regularly broadcast from UMT TV.
